Nickolay Lamm vs. Jeremy Scott

Normal Barbie Doll, a new positive role model

Artist Nickolay Lamm created a "normal" Barbie  using the CDC's measurements for an average 19-year-old American woman, then photographed a standard Barbie doll next to his model to show the difference. For  too long young girls has had as a role model Barbie Dolls and researches shows that  Barbie may lead to heightened body dissatisfaction, unhealthy eating  behaviour, and a desire to eat less in order  to achieve a slim body. Nickolay Lamm says “I created normal Barbie because I wanted to show that average is beautiful, if average-looking Barbie looks this good and if there's even a chance of Barbie negatively influencing young girls, why not make one?"
I just love this guy!

On the other hand we have designer Jeremy Scott with his "Barbie Collection" and "McDonald Collection" for Moschino. To fit in one of the Barbie outfits you have to be size 0! And the McDonald Collection is one of the ugliest collection ever made. Both collection are an insult for fashion!
And i'm a little bit confused with the association of Barbie and McDonald.. What message does he want to promote,"Be super skinny eating at McDonald!?"
He should realise the influence that he has on young girls and think twice before "creating" these awful collections! I'm so disappointed! :(

Barbie + McDonald = Bulimia
